I am Karen from Hare Park Hypnotherapy. I work with clients from Leeds, Bradford, Huddersfield and surrounding areas.
At Hare Park Hypnotherapy I help people in West Yorkshire overcome anxiety, low confidence, panic attacks and imposter syndrome.
I use BWRT (BrainWorking Recursive Therapy) to quickly change the brain’s response to anxiety, fear and confidence issues.
About Karen – Hare Park Hypnotherapy
Hello, I’m Karen, a therapist based in West Yorkshire and the founder of Hare Park Hypnotherapy.
I help people overcome issues such as anxiety, overthinking, lack of confidence, low self-esteem, trauma, panic attacks, fears and phobias, and imposter syndrome so they can move forward feeling calmer, stronger and more in control of their lives.
Many of the people who come to see me have often struggled with their issue for years and may feel stuck, frustrated or unsure how to move forward. My role is to help you change the way your brain responds to those patterns so you can finally experience lasting change.
My Background
If you are one of my LinkedIn contacts, or an ex colleague, you probably know me from my time working for national and multinational companies with thousands of employees.
Today I work as a self-employed therapist, helping people with issues such as anxiety, self-confidence, self-esteem, phobias, imposter syndrome and other challenges, mainly using a therapy known as BWRT® (BrainWorking Recursive Therapy).
For some clients, their issue can be resolved in a single session. For others, it can be more like peeling back the layers of an onion, where several sessions are needed to work through the different elements involved.
My Approach
The main therapy I use is BWRT® (BrainWorking Recursive Therapy), a modern psychology-based approach that works with the brain’s natural processes to change unwanted emotional responses.
BWRT works by changing the brain’s automatic reaction to a trigger, helping clients respond in a calmer and more constructive way. Because of this, it can often produce results quickly and effectively.
For clients who prefer it, I also offer hypnotherapy, which can be particularly helpful for issues such as relaxation, confidence building and smoking cessation.
During your consultation we will decide which approach is best suited to your situation.
What Working With Me Is Like
My aim is always to create a safe, calm and supportive space where you can talk openly without judgement.
Clients often tell me they feel comfortable very quickly, which allows us to focus on the real issue and begin creating change.
Sessions are practical and focused on helping you move forward rather than revisiting the past in detail.
You can choose to work with me:
• Face to face
• Online via Zoom
Who I Help
I regularly work with clients who want support with:
- Anxiety and overthinking
- Panic attacks
- Lack of confidence
- Low self-esteem
- Imposter syndrome
- Fears and phobias
- Trauma responses
- Smoking cessation
Many clients come to me when they feel they have tried everything else and nothing has worked.
Seeing someone regain their confidence, calm and sense of control is the reason I do this work.
What Clients Often Say
Clients often tell me they appreciate that I’m very down to earth, approachable and easy to talk to.
Therapy doesn’t have to feel intimidating or overly clinical. My goal is to create a calm, relaxed space where you feel comfortable, while still keeping sessions focused on helping you move forward.

A Little About Me
Outside of my work, I enjoy spending time with my active and energetic collie-cocker cross, who definitely makes sure I get plenty of fresh air and exercise.
Like many of my clients, I understand that life can be busy and demanding, which is why I aim to make therapy practical, supportive and focused on real results.
You Might Be Feeling…
You may have found your way here because something in your life just isn’t feeling the way it should.
Perhaps you find yourself overthinking everything, feeling anxious about situations that others seem to cope with easily, or doubting yourself even when you know you are capable.
You might feel stuck in patterns such as:
- Constant overthinking or anxiety
- Low confidence or self-doubt
- Feeling like an imposter, even when you are doing well
- Panic attacks that seem to come out of nowhere
- Avoiding situations because of fear or phobias
You may even be wondering why you still feel this way when logically you know you shouldn’t.
The truth is that many of these reactions happen because the brain has learned a particular pattern over time. The good news is that those patterns can be changed.
Taking the First Step
Reaching out for help can sometimes feel like the hardest step, but it is often the most important one.
If you would like to discuss how therapy may help, you are welcome to book a consultation or get in touch for a chat.
